Family. We are born into one . . . and reborn into another.

Do we truly grasp that we are brothers and sisters in Christ?

Studies have shown the bonding power of gathering at a table with other people. It is where we show ourselves. It is the beginning point of intimacy, of knowing others and being known by others. Just as King David invited his friend’s disabled son to sit at his table like his own son, when Christ the King invites us to the table, he is inviting us to be fully known as his own son or daughter. As sons and daughters of the King, we don’t have to bring something to the table.
